Geometry/Topology
The research developed by the Geometry/Topology group of the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Viçosa covers modern and classic aspects of differential geometry, such as geometry of manifolds and applications of differential equations to differential geometry. In addition, part of the research developed is located at the confluence of the areas of Topology, Algebraic Geometry and Complex Geometry. The group also works at the interface between Differential Geometry and Theory of Singularities. Our group’s research is mainly focused on: Riemannian Geometry, Singularity Theory and Foliation Theory.
